Inspiration

I was inspired a few years ago by a scrapbook page I saw in a magazine to have a "Hawaii Five-O" party for my 50th Birthday. It's hard to believe April is almost upon us, and planning is going to have to begin in earnest.

I was inspired a few months ago after a visit to a vintage clothing fair to start collecting "Aloha Shirts" (Hawaiian Shirts to the uninitiated), especially since I'm not likely to fit into any of my vintage clothing collection any time soon.

I was inspired a few weeks ago by a great blog about someone living as though it was 1955 to think about life in 1962. What movies and TV shows were there to watch? Which books were published? What were we wearing, buying, cooking and eating?

So stay tuned for what I hope is a fun year of Aloha Shirts and "Golden Oldies" (pun intended).
